Program Description:
The Master of Fine Arts degree is the recognized terminal degree in the practice of art. Specialization is possible in the areas of ceramics, jewelry design and metal smithing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, or textile design. Drawing may be selected as a minor option or studio elective.The Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Fine Arts options are designed to prepare broadly-trained teacher in art education classes at the university level; or a combination of art education or art history-criticism with museum science can be arranged.
