Program Information
Degree Offered
M.S.I. - Chemical Engineering;, Ph.D. - Chemical Engineering
Program Description:
We believe that we offer a top quality graduate chemical engineering education with an outstanding balance of both theory and practice. Our professors average nine years of full time industrial experience, and have also established national research recognition in process control and optimization, membrane separations, polymeric materials, numerical methods, engineering statistics, waste remediation and health/safety/loss-prevention. The Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech has major research interests in modeling, optimization, process control, bioengineering, supercritical fluid extraction, membrane separations, and polymeric composites. The Texas Tech Process Control and Optimization Consortium is a partnership the Department of Chemical Engineering developed with industry to improve process control through a strategy called nonlinear process-model-based control.
