M.S.- Geology
Program Description:
The Geology Program is part of the School of Geology, Energy, and the Environment. Within the school, students can pursue a traditional M.S. degree in geology. We offer a two-year M.S. degree program for about 15-20 students at any given time, in an active, research-oriented environment. Other entities within the School of Geology, Energy, and the Environment are the Environmental Science and Environemental Management programs, which offer M.S. and MEM degrees, respectively, the Energy Institute and the Institute for Environmental Studies. Our current strengths are in Sedimentary Petrology/Petroleum Geology, Igneous Petrology, Structural Geology/Tectonics, GIS/Remote Sensing and Meteoritics/PLanetray Sciences. Faculty and students also are engaged in geological field studies in Oklahoma and Texas, Scotland, southern Africa, the Sierra Nevada, California, and Baja California, Mexico.

International Student Requirements:
If the primary language of instruction for the undergraduate degree was not English, we also need a TOEFL score with a minimum score of 550 (old paper score), which is equivalent to 79-80 on the internet-based test or 213 on the computer-based test.
