Program Description:

Founded in 1908, Texas Chiropractic College is the third oldest college of it's type in existence. Recognized as one of the best chiropractic programs nationwide, the DC curriculum at Texas Chiropractic College is designed to develop sharp, knowledgeable Doctors of Chiropractic.

As a student in the DC program, you will develop the ability to diagnose and evaluate with confidence, communicate effectively with other medical professionals, and skillfully treat patients based on the evidence presented.

The curriculum consists of a ten trimester course, covering basic science, applied science, chiropractic science.

Accreditation:

TCC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic Education, which is the accrediting agency for Doctor of Chiropractic programs as approved by the U.S. Department of Education. Our DC program also is approved for veteran training by the Texas Education Agency.

Eligibility Requirements:

A student entering TCC must have completed a minimum of 90 semester hours (120 quarter hours) at a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. All prerequisite courses must carry a grade of "C" (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) or better and result in a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
In February 2011, the Council on Chiropractic Education’s (CCE) announced new minimum grade point average standards for admittance into all accredited doctor of chiropractic programs effective on Jan. 1, 2014. As a result, Texas Chiropractic College will begin implementing a stair-step increase in the minimum GPA required for new students beginning in January 2012.
