Program Description:

The MPIA is a 21-month, masters-level program that prepares students for professional careers in global affairs. Careers may be pursued in a variety of international institutions/organizations and national agencies charged with conducting economic and security interactions worldwide. The 48-credit-hour curriculum consists of a common core of six required courses and a mixture of ten concentrations and electives that allow students to develop a specialization. We offer two tracks, one in International Economics and Development (IE&D) and the other in National Security Affairs (NS&D). Concentrations are offered in international economics, international development, transfer pricing, American diplomacy, defense policy, intelligence, international politics, and regional studies (Europe, Middle East, China). A foreign language exam is required to graduate, and in their first summer session, students will take part in either an international-based internship or cultural study. Fall admission only.
