Program Description:
At the master's level, M.Ed. degrees are offered in gifted and talented education, careerdevelopment education, and special education. Within special education, distinct programs are offered in bilingual special education, special education consultation, generic special education, educational diagnostician and low incidence disabilities. M.S. degrees are offered in human learning and development, gifted and talented education, research, measurement and statistics, and career development education. A M.S. degree is also offered in the pre-doctoral training program in counseling. Ph.D. programs in the department are offered in educational psychology, counseling psychology, and school psychology. The programs in counseling and school psychology are accredited by the American Psychological Association. Emphases in educational psychology include educational psychology foundations (with specializations in Intelligence, Creativity and Giftedness; Research, Measurement and Statistics; or Learning, Development and Instruction), special education, and career development education.
