Program Description:

The primary mission of the cognitive Psychology area is to train students for academic careers of research and teaching in psychology. Although there is a strong research emphasis, students are free to pursue basic theoretical studies or more applied, practical research projects. We make a deliberate effort to involve students in ongoing research projects from their first entry into the program, and we expect that they will develop their own programs of research by the end of their graduate careers.
