Program Description:

The purpose of the degree, Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, is to enhance the leadership capabilities of persons who serve or plan to serve in the role of superintendent, principal, supervisor, or collegial leader (i.e., master teacher, team leader, department chair, grade level leader, module chair). The common core of the program includes leadership theory, personal leadership skills, the dynamics of organizational change, strategies for school improvement, the socio-political environment of education, instructional theory and research, curriculum theory, data analysis, and research strategies and techniques.
