Program Description:

The revised Master of Tourism & Hospitality Management (MTHM) program launches in Fall 2013. The new curriculum prepares future managers and executives in tourism and hospitality for areas of hotel management, casino and gaming, restaurant management, event management, and destination management. Offering a common core for students that examine key issues and trends in the industry, students may choose from two concentrations that allow them to specialize in specific areas of management and strategic decision-making. The program is designed to be completed in 18 months and requires students to participate in a culminating consulting project with a corporate industry partner and requires an internship or project.

The new MTHM program requires students to complete a common core while they pursue specialized electives aimed at concentrating their studies within key areas in the industry. Courses combine cutting-edge theory and a hands-on approach that allow students to engage critical decision-making and current issues in the classroom. Offering two concentrations in Tourism & Hospitality Marketing and Hospitality Operations, students can specialize in key areas of interest.
