Program Description:

The Doctorate of Professional Studies in Information Management is a part-time, distance learning executive degree program for working professionals who are interested in the applied aspects of the information field.

The 51-credit hour professional doctorate serves mid-career professionals who are already employed. Our diverse curriculum will prepare them for advanced placement opportunities in executive and senior information management positions in the public, private, defense, academic, and non-profit sectors. Whether the goal is advancement within an organization, or a shift in specialization within the information professions, a doctoral degree can open a world of new possibilities for a thriving career in a rapidly changing profession.

The program is designed for highly motivated, mid-career professionals in the public, private, and non-profit sectors who want to participate in a high-quality, part-time executive doctoral program. Applicants should desire a solid foundation for advanced levels of information-related research and management practice.

International Student Requirements:

Applicants who are citizens of the following English speaking countries are not required to submit TOEFL scores: Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Canada, Fiji, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, Trinidad & Tobago, and the United Kingdom. International applicants who would need Syracuse University to issue them an I-20 form for a student visa must show sufficient funding for at least the first year of graduate study. Acceptable evidence of adequate funding for privately sponsored applicants is certified current bank statements on official bank letterhead signed by an authorized bank official that indicates sufficient funds exist to meet at least first year expenses.
