Program Description:
This program balances the scientist and practitioner components of clinical training. The general orientation explores the processes underlying adaptation and maladaptation, and methods for the prevention and intervention of pathology. Students graduate well prepared for careers as clinicians, researchers and educators. Learning components include: coursework, practicum experiences; teaching and research assistantships; an early research project; comprehensive examinations; a doctoral dissertation; and a pre-doctoral clinical internship.
