Eligibility Requirements:
GRE must be taken in past 5 years. There are no minimum GPA or GRE scores, but average gc applicants typically have 3.0 GPA and 50-75% GRE scores.
Optimal candidates have some combination of strong academic performance, observation of genetic counseling sessions to gain an understanding of the profession, counseling experience (particularly if they come primarily from a science background), and exposure to lab work and/or persons with disabilities or chronic illness.
