Program Description:
Graduate programs give specialized training for professional work in exploration, research, and education, and lead to degrees of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy. Current research activities include earthquake mechanics, rock physics, reflection, refraction and tomographicseismology, seismic studies of the continental lithosphere, isotopic age dating, paleomagnetic investigations, behavior of the geomagnetic field, and studies of crystal deformation (strain) and crystal force (stress).
