Program Description:

St. John’s graduate programs in Industrial Pharmacy prepare students for careers
in research and development in the pharmaceutical industry. Students benefit from the outstanding reputation and resources of the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions at St. John’s, one of the nation’s leading collegiate schools of its kind.

Students master all aspects of product development, ranging from “new chemical entities” (NCE) to the transfer of fully developed products to pharmaceutical manufacturing plants. Professors are leading researchers who cover such topics as theoretical and technological aspects of preformulation testing, design and evaluation of conventional and modified release dosage forms and drug product stability testing.

The M.S. degree Industrial Pharmacy program features a thesis (30-credit) or non-thesis (36-credit) option. The Ph.D. program consists of a minimum of 60 credits beyond the bachelor’s degree (30 credits beyond the master’s degree) and completion of a dissertation.
