Program Description:
The 33-credit Master of Arts in Government and Politics at St. John’s provides a broad and intensive understanding of the social, economic and historical factors that shape the political process here and abroad.
The program is ideal for students interested in teaching, conducting research, seeking employment in government agencies or working for organizations that depend on strong governmental relations. The program offers four concentrations: International Relations (available at the Queens and Rome, Italy, campuses), American Government, Public Administration and Political Theory.
Students may choose between a thesis or non-thesis track. Students in the thesis track are required to demonstrate proficiency in French, German or another language approved by the department chair.
