Program Description:
Through the Master of Science degree program in Chemistry at St. John’s, students gain the scientific knowledge and skills needed for careers in industry or education, government laboratories or private research. The degree is also excellent preparation for doctoral study in the field.
Students may choose between a thesis or non-thesis track. The thesis track requires the completion of 30 credits—comprising 24 lecture and six research credits. The non-thesis track consists of 33 credits in addition to a comprehensive examination.
Students enjoy are part of a supportive scholarly community with opportunities to work closely with distinguished faculty. A limited number of graduate assistantships are available for qualified students.
