Master of Arts (M.A.) in Government and Politics
St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Graduate students can gain a global perspective on governmental issues through the 33-45 credit Master of Arts in Government and Politics (International Relations concentration) at St. John’s University’s dynamic Rome, Italy, Campus. Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the State Education Department of New York, students also have the flexibility to study for one or more semesters at our New York campus.
Students concentrating in International Relations can opt for a thesis or non-thesis track. Both options require at least four classes from the International Relations and Comparative Government fields. Of the remaining classes, at least one is taken from the American Government or Public Administration field and at least one from the Political Theory field.
The Rome campus of St. John’s is in the historic Prati district, just north of the Vatican. With vaulted ceilings and a magnificent courtyard, the campus features high-tech classrooms, a computer lab, a library, a central lounge and ultramodern residence facilities.
