Program Description:

St. John's College is the premier great books college in the United States. In the Eastern Classics program, students study the classical texts from India, China and Japan and complete a language tutorial in either Sanskrit or Classical Chinese. The aim of the Eastern Classics program is to seek a deeper understanding of the fundamental and enduring questions that have been raised by thoughtful human beings in the rich traditions of the East.
