M.S. - Criminal Justice
Program Description:
The criminal justice master's program is designed to serve the needs of several types of individuals. It is designed to serve persons with no criminal justice employment experience or persons with no undergraduate degree in the field of criminal justice who wish to prepare for careers in law enforcement, corrections, administration of justice or an allied area. Individuals who are currently employed full- or part-time in criminal justice careers will find the criminal justice program at SCSU designed to fully meet their needs.
Plans offered:
Master of Science: Plan A (Thesis), 36 credits
Master of Science: Plan C (Professional Portfolio), 42 credits
Each plan requires a preliminary conference and a final oral examination.

International Student Requirements:
In addition to submitting an application, application fee, GRE/GMAT scores, and 3 letters of recommendation, international students must also submit scores from a language admission exam and financial documentation stating that the student has $17,000 USD in support of graduate study. Qualifying language admission exams and required scores are as follows:
TOEFL: 213 on the computer exam, 550 on the paper exam or 79 on the iBT with no subscore under 17;
Michigan Placement Test: 80;
IELTS: 6.5
