Program Description:

Cutting-edge, four-year naturopathic medical degree program with a progressive, interactive curriculum built upon proven, effective education methods used by the world’s most prestigious medical schools. SCNM prepares naturopathic doctors (NDs) with a broad education, extensive clinical experience and the knowledge to provide the best patient care possible. Unique SCNM curriculum features include a body-systems approach based on the principles of adult learning theory, clinical student experience from day one, team-based learning and a field observation program for students to shadow practicing NDs. SCNM has pioneered naturopathic programs in environmental medicine, women’s health and pediatrics. The SCNM Medical Center features classrooms equipped with room-to-room video and wireless internet, and also houses Arizona’s largest natural pharmacy.

International Student Requirements:

Transcripts from international institutions must be translated and evaluated by an international transcript evaluation service. Fees for this service are the responsibility of the applicant. The applicant must request a subject analysis transcript evaluation. The report must be mailed directly to the SCNM Admissions Office and received before an evaluation of the applicant’s file can begin. Additional coursework materials, such as catalogs, course descriptions, and syllabi, if requested, must be translated into English by a professional service. SCNM reserves the right to require international applicants whose native language is not English to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). International applicants must submit a financial guarantee form and provide proof of sufficient financial resources to the Admissions Office to cover anticipated costs of study. The Dean of Students Office will issue a Department of Homeland Security (INS) I-20 form for student visas.
