Program Description:

SMU's Master of Liberal Arts program allows adults to pursue classical learning in the liberal arts in a uniquely modern format. MLA courses, all of which are taught during evening hours and on Saturdays, deal with issues in the behavioral sciences, humanities, arts, social sciences, and science and culture from an interdisciplinary perspective. If there has been a single precept that has shaped the MLA curriculum, it has been that each course must present an idea that is both timeless in nature and socially or culturally relevant. For individuals interested in foreign study opportunities, several MLA courses are taught abroad each summer.
