Program Description:
Sofia University, formerly the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology's, MATP is a two year course of study designed for adult learners who wish to pursue graduate studies in psychology but do not intend to apply for a clinical license. The program's professional objective is to develop open and compassionate graduates whose skills in dialogue, systems thinking, strategic planning, disciplined inquiry, group dynamics and leadership enhance their current career path, or prepare them for a change of direction.
Students in the Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology may choose to focus their studies in one of three particular areas of specialization depending on their professional goals: Creative Expression, Spiritual Guidance, or Research and Education. Please note that students enrolled in the Clinical Psychology program are allowed to complete a specialization; however, in order to do so they will be required to complete additional units beyond their allotted amount of elective units and pay additional tuition.
