Program Description:

The John L. Grove College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, which certifies the quality of the curriculum, faculty, and support services. The program consists of 10 courses (30 credits), which includes 8 core courses and 2 elective courses. The core courses cover critical elements of business management in today's technologically advanced and global business environment. The course sequence is flexible, as the core courses do not have prerequisites beyond the basic requirements to enter the M.B.A. program. The program is offered in two formats: fully online and hydrid.

For the MBA-Professional hybird program, video conferencing technology provides students with the opportunity to attend class at either Shippensburg University, Dixon University Center, East Stroudburg University, or York Learning Center. Two-thirds of each course is taught in an electronic classroom and broadcast to the remote sites via videoconferencing technology, thus providing students the opportunity to interact with the professor and other students face-to-face from multiple sites. Each class meeting is videotaped, so that if students cannot attend class due to work requirements, they may view the missed class online via video streaming.

In the Ship MBA online format, classes are offered in accelerated 8-week sessions. The program can be completed in less than two years taking two courses each semester (spring, summer, and fall).

The program consists of 10 courses (30 crs.) consisting of 8 required core courses and 2 elective courses. The curriculum covers critical elements of business management in today’s hypercompetitive and global business environment. New students who do not have a business degree can request admittance to a 46-credit program which would include foundation courses in accounting and finance, economics, organizational behavior and marketing, and operations management.
