Program Description:
The program focuses on textiles and apparel, the business environment, and marketing and management. Through the textiles and apparel component students explore technological developments, production and operations management, textile product development, fashion management and design. In the business environment component, students learn about intercultural management, religious and ethical concerns in six world regions, the environmental and ecological aspects of textiles, information system management, and international economics and financing. Each educational institution exposes the student to the business culture in its region. The third component focuses on the marketing and management issues such as market research, world sourcing, advertising and promotion and International marketing strategies. Many courses in the program are applicable to other (than textiles) products and services that are globally marketed.
