Do you remember the teacher you liked the most when you were a child? The one who made learning fun - and maybe inspired you to become a teacher yourself? Seton Hill University's Master of Arts in Elementary/Middle Level Education Program is designed to help teachers in grades 4 - 8 make a lasting impact on their students as they teach the fundamental skills students will need throughout their academic lives. With the guidance and support of our experienced faculty you will enhance your teaching skills, strengthen your ability to evaluate education theory and learn to conduct (and critique) research. Pursuing your certification to teach in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is also possible while completing your master's degree.

Seton Hill University is accredited nationally by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.The Academy is a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), an organization that establishes guidelines for excellence in Early Childhood Programs. Membership in NAEYC does not automatically accredit a program. The accreditation process is voluntary. Accredited programs must meet and maintain stringent criteria in the areas of health and safety, staff and administration, curriculum, evaluation, and environment.

International students who have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in the United States must submit their transcripts from those institutions. International students who have not attended an accredited college or university in the United States must submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score, and a transcript evaluation from World Education Services (WES).
