Program Description:
At Seton Hill we offer a Master's Degree in Art Therapy with a specialization in Counseling. The program prepares you to combine your love of art and your desire to help others into one creative, inspiring and meaningful career. The Seton Hill MA in Art Therapy with specialization in Counseling has been approved by the AATA since 2000. The program couples a strong foundation in counseling with an in-depth exploration of art therapy theory and practice. At Seton Hill we provide the theory, skills, and supervised experience needed to practice art therapy effectively with diverse clients in a variety of settings. Our graduates have worked in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, alternative educational settings, prisons, homeless shelters, juvenile detention centers, residential group homes, day treatment centers, halfway houses, burn centers, pediatric hospitals, rehabilitation centers, sheltered workshops, drug and alcohol treatment centers, and in private practice.
