Program Description:

Students in the MFA Computer Art program at SVA come from a wide array of backgrounds and experiences. The program provides a state-of-the art, networked studio environment for students to create their work. There are 5 major areas of specialization: animation, installations, telecommunications, interactive multimedia, and virtual reality. The curriculum develops computer artists by exposing them to the contemporary practices of computer art through art history, programming, and studio courses as well as guest lectures.
