Program Description:
Emphasizing the need to be culturally competent in a global society, Saybrook's MFT program addresses the changing nature of the concept of marriage and family with a faculty who are experienced in a diverse range of cultural settings. Saybrook's program also reflects the University's humanistic tradition by focusing on the promotion of personal growth and family well-being in a culturally grounded, whole-person-centered approach that integrates body, mind, and spirit within the social context.
For the master's degree students my choose to complete the program in four, five, or six semesters and are eligible to complete their degrees through a unit-pricing schedule. Saybrook also offers workshops that, while not required for the master's degree, may be required for licensing certification - and may be completed post degree. They include: Drug and Alcohol Abuse and Treatment; Child, Relationship, and Elder Abuse Identification and Reporting; and Human Sexuality.
