Program Description:
At SCAD, dramatic writing students are surrounded by actors, directors, designers, animators and other artists. Students write screenplays for short films, features and television, as well as one-act and full-length stage plays.
Through quarterly writing projects and collaborative work, dramatic writing students create a portfolio of work designed to help them gain entry to the world of professional writing. At events such as the Savannah Film Festival, writers network with filmmakers, studio and development executives, entertainment lawyers and agents, as well as casting directors and producers, gaining further understanding of the field.

The Savannah College of Art and Design is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Eligibility Requirements:
SCAD encourages applications from students who demonstrate successful completion of appropriate coursework on the undergraduate level and adequate preparedness to undertake graduate-level study. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or should anticipate completion of a bachelor’s degree before enrollment in the graduate program.
