Program Information
Degree Offered
Master in Education (MED)
Format: Campus
Program Description:
The MED program is designed for practicing teachers with at least one year of relevant work experience who are interested in honing their skills and furthering their careers( SMU also offers a Master in Teaching program for those looking to enter the field of teaching). The MED program is designed for educators who want to be leaders. It provides advanced professional preparation as a teacher, counselor, or administrator. As all of our programs, you are the director of how you choose to pursue your degree. We are not cohort-based, which means that you take your courses according to your schedule rather than conforming strictly to someone else's schedule. Most of our graduate and certification courses are available in the late afternoons and evenings. This means that you will be able to work while pursuing your program.
The Saint Martin's MED offers seven different specialization strands and numerous endorsements. With rigorously developed specialized skills you will be able to advance in your career, and more importantly, be able to be a better steward to the performance of your students and their growth in body, mind, and spirit.

-Advanced Teaching and Learning
-English Language Learner (ELL)
