M.A. of Athletic Training
Program Description:
The athletic training education program is one of the newest health care professional programs in the Doisy College of Health Sciences. It is designed as a five-year entry level program. Students who begin the program as freshmen spend their first three years completing required liberal arts and science prerequisite courses then, once those requirements are met, move into the professional phrase of the program after their junior year. The two-year professional phase of the program includes coursework in human anatomy and kinesiology, clinical sciences, research and administration. Students participate in clinical experiences each semester.

The program is currently seeking accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education by 2010.
