Program Description:

This program, designed to create graduates who are knowledgeable in both the theory and practice of special education, prepares students to work with the special needs learner in any school setting. It has a unique focus on the linkage between special education and reading, and coursework includes a focus on teaching reading to special needs learners. Because the primary emphasis is placed on the practical application of classroom learning, fieldwork is tied into various classes.
