Program Description:

The mission of the Master of Science Education: Childhood program is to improve the educational experience of students in grades one to six by preparing highly professional, capable, and ethically responsible teacher candidates who embrace diversity, demonstrate compassion, continually search for knowledge and attain achievement..

The program is designed for students who have a liberal arts degree but who do not have teacher certification. Students will earn a Master's degree and qualify for the Initial Certificate in New York State. The program is offered in a weekend format, with some courses made available on weekday evenings for those who wish to accelerate their movement through the curriculum.
