Degree Offered
MD/M.S. - Medical Science
Format: Campus
Program Description:
A variety of graduate level MSc programs are offered by St. George's University School of Medicine. In these programs, students may pursue a stand-alone MSc degree or a dual MD/MSc degree. The research programs cover the areas of Microbiology, Neuroscience, Epidemiology, Public Health, Ecology, Immunology, and other areas of Tropical Medicine. The curriculum reflects those areas of investigative research that enhance preventive medicine and healthcare delivery in Grenada and other Caribbean states. Medical students who wish to obtain this combined degree will spend more time in Grenada for the investigative work, the thesis, and the intense preclinical MD curriculum that make up the course of study for both degrees. Research is partially supported by the WindwardIslands Research and Education Foundation. A minimum of 30 credits is required for the MSc degrees.
