Program Description:
The Registered Nurse to Master of Science in Nursing program provides the opportunity to be admitted to the Master of Science in Nursing program without a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. (Some Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.)Many registered nurses choose to progress more directly and rapidly to an advanced nursing practice role. The RN to MSN program provides the opportunity to be admitted to the MSN program without a BSN degree. Completion of some undergraduate courses is required prior to admission to the RN to MSN Program. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Part-time or full-time study available Thirty-one SVSU credits recorded for an RN's basic nursing preparation and experiences Potential for completion of courses in four semesters Clinical experiences in practicum courses are individualized and build on previous learning and experience Nursing courses are offered 1 day a week on and off campus (some courses do not meet every week) Courses utilize technology, Blackboard computer instruction and other distance learning strategies Articulation Agreements with many community colleges No year limit on transfer courses Two degree options: RN to BSN RN to MSN
