Program Description:
The program in adult and continuing education leads to the Master of Education degree and prepares professional educators to work with mature men and women in a wide variety of roles and settings. The program necessarily is flexible and cross-disciplinary to meet the diverse needs of its students. Most graduates work in nonschool organizations or community agencies, including colleges and universities, business and industry, health and social service organizations, and adult and family literacy and job training programs. All graduates are concerned primarily with facilitating adult learning and planning and managing educational or training programs for adults.
