The Graduate Program in Spanish at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, offers an innovative curriculum that embraces all phases of Hispanic literature, culture and civilization as well as courses in Spanish linguistics, literary theory, Luso-Brazilian literature and culture, translation, and teaching and research methodology. As a community of active scholars, we endeavor to offer all of our graduate students the opportunity for intellectual growth and interdisciplinary work within a multicultural environment, and to provide students with a rigorous theoretical foundation. Teaching assistantships, tuition scholarships, and University graduate fellowships are available each year.
