Program Description:

The Graduate Program in Endocrinology and Animal Biosciences is centered in the Department of Animal Sciences in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Our graduate program provides research-oriented training leading to the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in endocrine physiology at the organismic, cellular, and molecular levels. The graduate curriculum is full and comprehensive, drawn in part from the diverse and extensive course lists of the many other biological programs universitywide. Students receive broad training in physiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and statistics.
Faculty members of this program belong to the newly established Endocrine Program and are part of a large and interactive community of biological scientists at Rutgers University, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
Graduate training includes cutting-edge research in:
-Comparative and behavioral endocrinology
-Epigenetic regulation of the endocrine system
-Exercise physiology and immunology
-Fetal and neonatal developmental programming
-Mammary gland biology and breast cancer
-Neuroendocrinology and alcohol studies
