Program Description:
Women's Studies:It focuses on contemporary women?s issues ranging from the family, work and organisations, and social policy, to art, music and writing.Public History: covers the broad themes of approaches to Public History: the Visual in History and Orality, Time and Memory. Examples of topics might include: history on television from AJP Taylor to Simon Schama; family historians: obsessives or democratic scholars; trade union badges: the importance of the unimportant; memory and landscape; history and the self; are myths the myths we live by? Subject to validation, the MA in International Labour Relations and Trade Union Studies will be aimed particularly at full-time officers and graduate trade unionists.
