Program Description:

MSc Petroleum Geoscience (Basin Evolution):
This course looks at all aspects of hydrocarbon exploration and production.

MSc Petroleum Geoscience (Tectonics):
This course takes a multidisciplinary approach to Earth deformation, from plate tectonic to micro scale. We emphasise development of analytical skills based on fi eldwork, analogue modelling, and geophysical data.

MSc Environmental Analysis & Assessment:
This course forms a vital industry interface between rigorous laboratory analysis, toxicology, and quantitative risk assessment. Students become profi cient in the analysis of environmental media, and utilise the resulting data in assessing risk.

Research Opportunities
Applications are invited for postgraduate research places leading to either the MSc by Research (1 year), MPhil (2 year), or PhD (3 year) degree. We offer a wide range of projects falling within the general remit of our three main research themes.
