Program Description:
Following twenty-four months of clinical rotations and academic studies in an accredited program, Pathologists' Assistants are eligible to sit for the American Association of Pathologists' Assistants (AAPA) Fellowship Examination. Graduates are prepared for such tasks as examining surgical specimens, performing autopsies, taking gross photographs and photomicrographs, and a spectrum of ancillary activities influenced by different types of work settings. These activities include teaching, administration, research, and forensics (examiner/coroner offices).
