Program Description:

Building on the success of the University’s undergraduate business studies programmes this MSc/PGDip International Management has been developed to address a new era of international companies whose leaders and core operations are dispersed across the globe. Clearly, this modern global economy requires a new breed of managers and leaders equipped with flexible, transferable business skills and a global vision.

The MSc/PGDip International Management aims to produce managers and leaders who can do business across time-zones, cultures, and languages. Embedded in the programme is a tri-part curriculum allowing you to build a solid foundation in international management as well as learning about information systems and a foreign language.

The MSc/PGDip International Management includes guest lectures from business practitioners and visits to UK businesses. Last year students visited the UK headquarters of Photobox, an online laboratory for photo prints. They spent the day meeting the Chief Executive Officer, the Marketing Director and Information Technology Director. They learnt how a gap in the marketing was identified, how the company was formed and essential procedures put in place.

The students said, ‘This was a valuable and interesting experience for all of us …. and an insight into how corporations function. It's one thing to read about this, but another to see how it's actually done in practice, especially for us as future managers.'

The Roehampton MBA and masters management programmes are fully recognised by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Successful completion of these programmes leads to eligibility for membership of the CMI and the potential to gain chartered manager status.
