This new postgraduate programme offers students the opportunity to work towards the degree of MA in Applied Music Education or through one of four new pathways leading to the award of:
MA in Applied Music Education (Choral)
MA in Applied Music Education (Psychology)
MA in Applied Music Education (Early Years)
MA in Applied Music Education (Community) [programme under development]
Depending on the pathway selected by the student, the programme is designed to enhance the professional knowledge, skills and understanding of the respective subject area within a broad educational context.

This is the first graduate programme of its type in the UK and it attracts students from all over the world. The programme benefits from the specialist expertise available in the University’s Centre for International Research in Creativity and Learning in Education (CIRCLE) under the direction of Professor David Hargreaves. There is also an excellent opportunity to embark on further study up to PhD together with a range of professional development courses.
