Degree Offered

Advanced Certificate - Statistical Quality

Format: Campus, Online

Program Description:

The majority of students in this program are full-time professionals who want to learn current statistical and quality techniques to enhance their careers. Courses are offered both on-campus and via online learning formats. The online learning option makes this certificate especially appealing to students who are not able to attend classes on the RIT campus. The program is registered by the New York State Education Department and is accredited by the Middle States Association of the Council for Higher Education.

This advanced certificate program is designed for quality engineers, quality managers, and those who aspire to such positions. It consists of courses from RIT's master of science in applied statistics curriculum that deal with the technical aspects of quality engineering. Graduates of this program will have learned most of the material in the American Society of Quality's body of knowledge for both the CQE (certified quality engineer) exam and the CQM (certified quality manager) exam, as well as an extensive amount of additional knowledge. Credit earned through this certificate may be applied toward the MS in applied statistics.

The program is available part-time, on campus or online, and consists of 18 credit hours (six course).
