Program Description:
The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling prepares students to become mental health clinicians. The program is based on both theory and experiential opportunities with the use of role playing, videotaping, and service learning projects, as well as a 1,000-hour internship at the end of the 63 credit hour course of study. Internship placement is arranged in a variety of settings dependent upon the student's interests. Common sites include mental health clinics, hospitals, college counseling centers, elder care centers, and residential treatment facilities.
