Program Description:
The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology offers graduate programs leading to the M.A. and the Ph.D. in several areas, including marshland biology, population and community ecology, evolutionary biology, behavioral ecology, sociobiology, and global biogeochemistry. Graduate-level course offerings in the department may be supplemented by courses in cognate departments, including Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Environmental Science and Engineering, Geology and Geophysics, Statistics, and Space Physics and Astronomy and by offerings at Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Texas Medical School and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and the University of Houston. The individual offerings include classroom lectures, seminars, laboratory tutorials, and field study.
