Program Description:
A true education for the information age, the Rensselaer IT Master's Program provides graduates with a breadth of experience in five IT Core areas and an additional in-depth experience in an Application Area. Application Area specializations include database systems, software design, networking, human-computer interaction, MIS, information systems engineering, bioinformatics and e-business. The M.S. in IT program primarily prepares students for professional practice; however, student interaction with faculty who are working on leading edge research has encouraged a significant number of students to seek a Ph.D. in related fields at Rensselaer.
