Program Description:
Quinnipiac's Graduate Nursing Program seeks to prepare professional nurses at an advanced theoretical and clinical practice level in order to address present and potential societal health needs. Our program includes a core study that covers advanced concepts and theoretical foundations of nursing, research methods and health care policy and economics. In Quinnipiac's Department of Nursing, learning occurs in a highly personalized, student-centered community that promotes academic excellence. We view nursing as both a science and an art that is creative, goal-directed, research-based and concerned with the health and dignity of the whole person. Our goal is to prepare graduates for professional nursing practice who are capable of providing holistic care for diverse individuals, families, communities and populations in a variety of settings.
