Program Description:
The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is home to nationally and internationally recognized researchers. Because we keep our class sizes small, our students are able to interact with faculty members and learn from them in a way that is simply not possible in a larger institution.
Our faculty includes:
* 2 Canada Research Chairs
* 1 Queen’s Research Chair
* 12 faculty members are either Senior Members or Fellows of the IEEE
In addition to our faculty, our department is home to the Advanced Photonics Systems Lab, a national photonics and microelectronics facility unique to Queen's, and the Energy and Power Electronics Applied Lab

Eligibility Requirements:
All applicants must submit a Department pre-application form, available online. Once your pre-application is reviewed, you will learn whether or not you meet our minimum requirements and are eligible to apply.
* M.A. Sc.: Bachelor degree in Engineering (any) or Science (closely related field)
* M.Eng.: Bachelor degree in Engineering or closely related field (e.g. computer science, physics, mathematics)
* Ph.D.: Master of Applied Science or Master of Science
Grades: Minimum cumulative average of 75% (from North American Universities, 80% for international students) or B+ over all 4 years.
International Student Requirements:
as per domestic students but English languate proficiency also required
