Program Description:
The provision of experiences for graduate students to develop and extend their competencies as persons and as professionals engaged in helping relationship. The Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program is committed to the scientist-practitioner model of training wherein professional psychologists are prepared to (a) integrate science and practice as agents of change in a diverse society and (b) provide excellence in educational leadership as they contribute to human welfare and the advancement of learning / development through scholarly inquiry, consultation, education, and service to diverse constituents.
